    Twisted wire elements have the potential to bring a lot to a piece of jewelry. Though the practice is deceptively simple at first glance (just get some square stock and twist it) there countless variations which, when applied, can fundamentally alter how the final product looks. In this workshop students will complete a series of samples utilize different methods and styles of twisting wire, leading to the creation of finished and wearable bangles, cuffs, and bracelets of their own design.

    Give dimension to a cuff bracelet with layers of metal! Students will learn to apply basic forming, piercing, and riveting techniques to create dynamic layered cuff bracelets. Attention will be paid to different design considerations such as piercing patterns and images in the top layer of metal, applying contrasting textures and patinas to each layer, and proper placement of rivets to enhance the design and secure the metal. In this 2-day workshop, participants can expect to leave with at least one finished cuff as well as a more refined metalworking skill set.
