- Unexpected Cancellations
-
If it is necessary to cancel a meeting of any class or workshop due to inclement weather, instructor illness, or other emergency, Metalwerx will notify students as soon as possible. If we are unable to reschedule the missed day, we will issue a pro-rated tuition refund.
Student Notification:
- Cancellations (especially weather-related) will appear as a bright red bar across the top of all pages on our website.
- For any unexpected cancellation, students receive an email.
- If a class is cancelled with less than a day's notice, Metalwerx will call students at the number provided with their registration as well.
Metalwerx reserves the right to make changes in classes, workshops, schedules, instructors, and cancel a class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment. If Metalwerx cancels a course, students can choose a full refund by check, credit card, or transfer to another course. If a class has insufficient enrollment, students will be contacted 1 week prior to the start date. We may choose to wait a few more days to cancel and follow up with registrants on an individual basis, based on their needs. Metalwerx tries to avoid cancellations whenever possible and is proactive in notifying students to discuss options.
- Materials Kit Policy
-
Metalwerx provides materials kits in on-site classes for our student's convenience. We must estimate costs many months in advance from when we actually order supplies for your class. Due to the volatility of the metals market, all materials kit prices are subject to change. The actual cost of your materials kit will be based on the cost of metal/supplies at the time materials are ordered.
For classes where the materials kit fee is collected in advance:
- If the cost of a kit has risen to a reasonable difference, students will be notified in advance and are required to pay for the difference in cost when they arrive at class. If the cost of a kit has gone down, Metalwerx will reimburse the difference to students at class.
For classes where the materials kit fee is collected at class:
- If there is a significant change in cost, Metalwerx will notify students in advance. Students are expected to pay the actual materials kit fee when they arrive for the workshop.
