These hotels are approximately 1 1/2 - 2 miles from Metalwerx and offer special rates for our students as indicated. Waltham has plenty of other accommodations nearby.   • Crescent Suites Hotel: When you call and say you're coming to Metalwerx, you’re eligible for a special corporate rate of $179/night (plus tax).  Make sure you call the hotel to make your reservation with this discount.  The Crescent Suites is just minutes from downtown Waltham.  Guests can enjoy an espresso in the lobby cafe or take a short walk to the shops, restaurants and theaters along Moody Street.   • 1888 Guest Home: The 1888 Guest Home is a comfortable, clean, friendly, quiet, nice place to stay. The rooms are well appointed and it is nice to walk around the property or sit on the porch for a while. No pool, fitness center, or internet.   • Airbnb: There are many reasonably priced Airbnb listings in the Waltham area. These listings range from a private apartment to a single room in a shared space or home. There are a lot of local restaurants, delis and bars in Waltham. Below is a list of places Metalwerx orders from frequently, but there are many other options in and around Waltham! 

  • Dominics: Italian Bakery and Deli. Located about a five minute drive from Metalwerx.

  • Fulciniti's Market: Italian Market and Deli located within walking distance from Metalwerx.

  • Gracie's Kitchen: Italian Catering and Deli within driver distance to Metalwerx.

  • Gustazo Cuban Cafe: Cuban restaurant and bar located on Moody street in Waltham.

  • Pho and Spice: Thai and Vietnamese restuarant located on Moody street in Waltham.

  • Hannaford: Grocery store with some pre-prepared foods and general groceries within driving distance.

Things to do in Waltham

 

Waltham is a city rich with history and offers plenty to do and see. There are world class restaurants along Moody Street. Other points of interest include Monique Rancourt Artisan Gallery, Charles River Museum of Industry, and the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University.
