This workshop introduces bead setting as a technique for securing small stones in metal. Students will learn how to set up and use hand gravers in order to raise small "beads" on the metal surface surrounding a stone in order to trap it in place. Numerous format styles of bead setting will be covered including star, individual bright cut, and a line with bright cut.

Students will learn how to construct the Byzantine chain maille weave and the Mobius unit by making 2-3 pairs of earrings during this workshop.

During this one-day course, participants will be turning a found beach treasure into a new and beautiful, wearable piece of jewelry. Students will learn how to cut, drill and carve into their glass or stone, while adding silver accents to make a pendant.

Angle Raising allows makers to transform flat sheet metal into dynamic three-dimensional forms. In this weekend workshop led by master of anthropomorphic forming techniques, Logan Woodle, students will learn the fundamentals of angle raising by creating a form and then adding complexity using hammer forming and chasing processes. Tool modification will additionally be covered in order to meet each students individual needs.

The class will begin with a presentation covering the basics of chain maille (using tools, handling jump rings, opening/closing techniques, common weaving problems and fixes, chain maille terminology, etc.). Students will then learn how to construct Barrel Weave by completing a bracelet in sterling silver. Other weaves discussed in this session will be Rhinos Snorting Drano (RSD) and Keg of Makers Mark. Each of the 3 weaves is based on a simple 1-2-1-2 chain.

Part 1 will begin with a presentation covering the basics of chain maille (using tools, handling jump rings, opening/closing techniques, common weaving problems and fixes, chain maille terminology, etc.). This two-day workshop aims to teach the fundamentals of jewelry making through a project driven curriculum, with the ultimate goal of building a foundational knowledge of all things metalsmithing, while working to create a ovular bezel-setting with a textured band. Students will learn fundamental fabrication techniques, hot connections, texturing methodologies, finishing, ring sizing, and bezel setting.

This onsite workshop gives students the opportunity to get in-person attention and guidance with the incomparable Taylor Saleem. Over the course of three days, transform flat sterling sheet into dimensional bead reliefs using the natural world as inspiration. Participants will learn how to translate botanical motifs into metal cut-outs, expertly saw out their designs, fabricate hollow forms, and solder their intricate imagery onto beads. Taylor will teach how to utilize her bead-building techniques for earrings construction as well as pendants, single-bead components, and more.

Learn a quick and easy way to make textured bangle bracelets! This course will focus on forming a stack of embellished bangles utilizing copper and sterling silver. Students will texture and forge their metal into different shapes and patterns using numerous metalsmithing hammers.

Jump into this three day in-person class for a fun exploration of all things ring! Combine fabrication techniques in gold and silver, Argentium fusion, embossing, direct casting, creative use of scrap, and more to create unique one of a kind rings. In this 3-day in-person workshop students will learn to make a prong setting for a tablet style stone in 22k gold and sterling silver. The tablet setting will be attached via hinge to a bezel set cabochon with a hidden bail. Students will learn how to fabricate with a mix of high karat gold and sterling silver, how to make small, precise and durable hinges, how to build a setting with multiple prongs soldered all at once, as well as many other tips and tricks.
