OVERVIEW
Have you ever considered being a Teaching Assistant at Metalwerx's studio classroom? Is there an instructor coming this year who you would love to assist? Join our Teaching Assistant corps for 2025!
Teaching Assistants (TAs) are a vital part of the Metalwerx community, offering advice and expertise in our studio classroom as they assist instructors in workshops and classes. Serving as a TA also offers the opportunity to work alongside the incredible artists who come to Metalwerx to teach. TA opportunities are available throughout 2025 for Onsite Workshops, Weekly Classes, and some Master Classes.
Traditionally a volunteer role, new for 2025, we are excited to offer all TAs the opportunity to earn up to 50% credit off a Metalwerx class*!
HOW IT WORKS
- TA opportunities are available starting in March throughout 2025 and will be communicated via email to the TA corps
- By requesting to be a TA for a course, you are committing to work all the scheduled class days
- TAs will be assigned based on experience as well first come, first served
- If you have more than one course you'd like to TA for, please rank your choices first through last
- Prior experience in class topics required - when requesting courses, please note your relevant experience (classes)
For each full day that you assist an instructor in our Waltham studio, you get a 5% coupon towards a future class of your choice.* These coupons are 'stackable' so that means, for example, that if you TA for a 3-day workshops, you've earned 3 coupons that can be combined to get you 15% off a future class. Coupon codes will be provided after the last scheduled day of the course. TAs are solely responsible for keeping track of their earned discounts.
*TA Class Coupons cannot be used for Summer with the Masters Classes
HOW TO APPLY
Please send a brief note detailing why you would like to join the TA corps at Metalwerx and include any previous TA experience, and availability or class/instructor interest to Lillian at [email protected] if you’re interested. TAs will be reviewed and approved on a rolling basis.
