Sarah Perkins received her MFA at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and is Professor Emerita at Missouri State University where she headed the Metals Program for 23 years. She is a past Board Member of the Enamelist Society and is currently a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Metal Museum in Memphis, TN. She has shown her work in the USA, India, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Her work can be seen in Metalsmith, Ornament, and American Craft, and in the books The Art of Fine Enameling, Contemporary Enameling, and The Penland Book of Jewelry. Perkins was the juror for the Lark Publications book 500 Enameled Objects. She has taught numerous workshops in the USA and internationally, including at Arrowmont, Penland, California College of Art, Sanskriti Foundation in India, the Tainan Graduate Institute of Applied Arts in Taiwan, and the University of the West of England.
