Victoria Young is currently a bench jeweler and stone setter for a high-end jewelry store in Upstate New York. She received her BFA in 2014 with a concentration Jewelry and Metalsmithing from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Victoria then went on to study at the New Approach School for Jewelers in Franklin, Tennessee where she received her Graduate Bench Jeweler Degree. In her own studio, Victoria is working to produce her own line, as well as creates unique custom work for private commissions. Victoria is fascinated by the traditional metalsmithing techniques of ancient civilizations and traditional goldsmithing. The intense process of chain making, filigree and stone setting which feed s her passion for elaborate and methodical designs. It is a labor of love and a infatuation for challenging the material and herself, to push boundaries in order to fabricate the large and complex pieces that she envisions.
