Staggered Sense of Humor Sheet Weave for Jewelry

Sense of Humor Staggered Sheet weave is silky, slinky, and behaves like fabric. This is a complex weave that will be approached in stages. In the first class session, students will learn the construction of Josue units and Sense of Humor Chain, both left and right leaning versions. In the second session, Sense of Humor Sheet and Staggered Sense of Humor Sheet will be covered. Once learned, the techniques can be used for various jewelry applications!

The class handout will include step by step instructions for all stages of the weave and instructions for making all the jewelry pieces pictured.

This class is designed for advanced level chain maille students. It is assumed that all students who enroll are proficient weavers, know the difference between Through-the-Eye and Around-the-Eye connections, and understand gauge, inner/outer diameter, and aspect ratio. Students should be comfortable with complex patterns. Ability to construct Half-Persian 3-in-1 (both left and right-leaning) is very helpful but not required.
