Spinning Rings

This one-day workshop explores the world of kinetic jewelry! By the end of the day you will have a finished piece of jewelry that spins! This feat of fabrication provides students with lessons in slightly more advanced fabrication techniques that will require the inner and outer pieces of the finished ring to be connected but still move independently from each other. You'll learn great tricks about soldering pieces in close proximity without connecting them directly. With your new complex fabrication skills in hand, your mind will spin as much as your rings thinking about the unlimited possibilities to design and create wearable kinetic art!
