Open Studio w/ Avery Lucas

This Open Studio opportunity is available for student who have completed Jewelry 1 and Jewelry 2 with Avery Lucas this past fall semester. Come join Avery in the studio for assistance on finishing projects, troubleshoot issues, answer questions, or just get in some more time to work with an amazing instructor! No materials will be provided so students should come prepared with projects in mind and materials for those projects.

Avery Lucas received her MFA in Jewelry/Metals at the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth in 2012. Lucas is currently a studio artist, teacher, production jeweler, and mold maker in Rhode Island. She has taught metals and design at University of Masschusetts Dartmouth and Rhode Island College. Lucas has also lectured and taught workshops at East Carolina University, Rhode Island College, State University of New York - New Paltz, and at the Fuller Craft Museum. In addition to being a Niche Award finalist, her metal work won "Best Of" Contemporary Art Month for a featured exhibition at Equinox Gallery in San Antonio, Texas. Lucas's one of a kind work is sold online and in galleries nationally.

 

Materials & Tools

Students should bring

Students are responsible for all materials that they wish to use while they work in the studio during this Open Studio class. The studio will be equipped as usual with all necessary tools and equipment you may need.
