Intermediate Torch-Fire Enameling: Decals and Other Surface Additives

KEEP HEATING IT UP! This demo-focused virtual course is the second in a series of three and the direct follow-up to Intro to Torch-Fire Enameling. In this workshop, students will learn how to work with and apply underglazes, foils, and decals using a torch-fire method for enameling. Variable media will be discussed and explored, and emphasis will be placed on how to utilize underglazes to create fine lines, properly apply metal foils, and work with a variety of decals compatible with torch firing techniques. Students will have the opportunity to purchase a custom full-color decal to use during the workshop. Inspirational work made by enamelists and metalsmiths will also be presented.
