Glimmer, Glamour: Gold and Silver Chains!

Learn about Argentium fusion with wire to make a selection of chains from delicate to big and bold. Add gold accents, gold links, bimetal accents, or commercial gold chain, for glamour and glitz!

This three-session demo-centered virtual class will focus on efficient techniques for working with Argentium fusion to create chain links. In addition, students will learn to fuse and form links, and fabricate chains that are fused rather than soldered. Both soldered links and commercial chain will be discussed. Paulette will cover chain design, fabrication, fusion, soldering, and clean up through live demonstration and presentations. A variety of demonstrations with a numerous gauges and chain styles will take place, with the end goal of making an 18” length chain necklace that incorporates gold links or gold embellishments.
