Adam Whitney

Adam received his BFA in Crafts / Materials Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University where he concentrated in Metalsmithing. He has worked as a bench jeweler, Metals Studio Coordinator at Penland School of Crafts, and taught Jewelry Design at Raffles College in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Adam currently works out of his studio in Vermont where he creates functional objects and heirlooms employing traditional silversmithing techniques. Adam has taught workshops throughout the US including Penland School of Crafts and Smith Shop. His work has been exhibited at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, Capsule Gallery in Houston, TX, and Penland Gallery in North Carolina.
