Soldering will not be necessary for these pieces -- instead, students will learn how to form and harden wire to create a "skeleton" for polymer veneers. Additionally, student will be introduced to Apoxie clay as a means of creating sculpted forms.

“Guidelines” is a contemporary jewelry project where jewelers/makers create work based off of pre-set guidelines. The intent of this project is to offer a creative activity/space for a maker who is looking to break out of their everyday routine, be challenged into thinking differently in their studio practice, or to simply delve into a new creative endeavor. The given guidelines are up for interpretation, letting the maker decide if they will follow the guideline literally or loosely when creating their pieces.
