Photography Sessions w/ Charley Freiberg

If you’re serious about doing what you do best, making amazing jewelry, then get serious about your photography! Professional images will send the right message about who you are as a maker, which is especially important when applying to a juried show or competition. The fee for this session is priced per shot.

What is a Shot?

A shot means one single set up of an item (or grouping of items, i.e. a series of rings), with multiple photographs taken of that configuration. 

Participants should purchase multiple shots if they would like to:

• Photograph multiple angles of one piece (i.e. front and back of a pendant), where a new configuration is needed 
• Photograph multiple pieces individually (i.e. one solitary ring, one solitary pendant, and one solitary bracelet)

Jewelry photography is one of the more difficult jobs within commercial photography. It requires patience, technical proficiency and attention to detail. The size of the jewelry, combined with the mixture of precious stones and reflective metals can make it extremely challenging to achieve the right results. Jewelers, metalsmiths, and artists need a photographer who not only understands their work, but someone who also has the experience and skillset to capture the essence of their jewelry and its special design. Charley Freiberg is your guy! He regularly photographs for almost 300 artists and craftspeople around the US, and even some of our very own instructors and students.
