From Metal to Textile: Weaving Fused Chains

Explore the ancient Roman art of chain making! The seductive quality of fine silver will be brought to life through the repetitive and meditative process of weaving together fused circular links created using an acetylene torch. With a mix of demonstrations and hands-on studio time, participants can expect to leave class with the knowledge of how to make a beautiful new pair of earrings or a single chain for a bracelet or necklace. Single loop and double loop methods will be covered. No previous soldering skills required.
