Forging and Flush Setting

Course Description

About this course

Make delicate, textured bangle bracelets utilizing not-so-delicate blacksmithing techniques on copper and silver! Students in this two-day workshop will learn how to hammer-draw, planish and shape heavy gauge wire into these wearable forms. To compliment the decorative, planished metal surface, students will incorporate flush-set stones into their bracelets. At the end of the weekend, not only will participants leave with a better understanding of how to manipulate and move metal successfully , but they will take home a beautiful new set of copper and silver bangles complete with glimmering CZ's and black onyx stones.
